The terms of use are an agreement between the Canadian Guild of Crafts and
the User of the present website (hereinafter defined as the “Website”) and
regarding the conditions of use of the Site and of its information (the
“Agreement”). By accessing the Site, the User agrees to comply by and accept the
terms and conditions of the Agreement. If the User does not agree with the terms
and conditions of the Agreement, he or she is advised not to use the Site.
Information
The Canadian Guild of Crafts seeks to always provide the User with accurate,
reliable and up to date information. However, the information is provided on a
tentative basis only. The Canadian Guild of Crafts offers no guarantee regarding
the accuracy or reliability of the information provided on the many pages of the
Site. The Canadian Guild of Crafts reserves the right to modify this information
at any moment, without prior notice.
Acceptable usage of the Site
The Site’s content is provided for the User’s information and for educational
purposes only. The User can download a copy of the Site’s current coding for
personal and non commercial uses, as long as the Site’s copyright and ownership
notices remain untouched. Under no circumstance whatsoever is the User allowed
to access the Site’s database or sell, distribute, publish, display, modify,
copy, reproduce or reuse the Site’s content, including, but not limited to,
text, images and video documents, prior to obtaining written permission from the
Canadian Guild of Crafts. The User cannot create a hyperlink to the Site, nor
exploit the Site in any manner whatsoever without prior written permission from
the Canadian Guild of Crafts. Usage of the Site is at the User’s own risks and
perils.
Copyright
The User must take for granted that all content provided on the Site is property
of the Canadian Guild of Crafts and is protected by copyright laws (unless
stated otherwise) and cannot be used, with the exception of the permissions
stated in the current Agreement or on the Site, prior to receiving written
permission from the Canadian Guild of Crafts. Without limitation to the
generality of the foregoing, the pictures of people and places found on the Site
are property of, or used under permission by, the Canadian Guild of Crafts.
Usage of these pictures is forbidden to the User, unless specified in the
current Agreement or accordingly to any other specific permission found on the
Site.
Trademarks
All trademarks, names and logos found on the Site (hereinafter defined as the
“Trademarks”), be they registered or not, are property of the Canadian Guild of
Crafts and/or of a third party. Usage of the Trademarks on the Site is not to be
interpreted as an award of a licence or right of usage of the Trademarks under
any circumstance. Any usage of the Trademarks must first be approved by the
Canadian Guild of Crafts or by any third party detaining the rights on said
Trademarks. Accordingly, usage of the Trademarks or of any other content
provided on the Site, with the exception of the permissions stated in the
current Agreement, is expressly forbidden.
Confidential and exclusive information
Notwithstanding the fact that the Canadian Guild of Crafts appreciates your
interest in its work, the Canadian Guild of Crafts does not wish to obtain
confidential or exclusive information via the Site. The User must note that any
information, communication or content sent to the Canadian Guild of Crafts, by
E-mail or by any other means of contact, including any data, question,
commentary, suggestion, or any other similar information, will be deemed as non
confidential and not of the User’s property. By sending any information or
content to the Canadian Guild of Crafts, the User consents that the Canadian
Guild of Crafts or that any other associated party or subsidiary can use,
reproduce, display, communicate, send and distribute the aforementioned content
and/or information. The User also agrees that the Canadian Guild of Crafts is
free to use any idea, concept, novelty or technique found within the User’s
transmission to any means including, but not limited to, development, production
and promotion of products.
Hypertext links
The Canadian Guild of Crafts has not reviewed the websites that are linked on
the Site. Any link found on the Site, leading to another website, does not mean
that the Canadian Guild of Crafts approves of the content found on these linked
sites or of the products and services that can be found on them. Following such
a link is to the User’s own risks and perils.
Limitation of liability
The Canadian Guild of Crafts does not guarantee in any way whatsoever that the
information or content found on the site or from suggested links will be without
interruption, error, imperfection, virus or any other dangerous component, and
in the case that such problems occur, that they will be fixed.
Modification of the Agreement and of the Site
The Canadian Guild of Crafts can, at any time, modify the terms of the current
Agreement by updating it. The User is thereby bound to any changes and must
frequently visit the current page to be knowledgeable of the conditions
currently in usage. The Canadian Guild of Crafts can, to its sole discretion,
modify, cancel, stop or restrict usage to any portion of the Site at any time
without prior notice or liabilities.
Jurisdiction
The current Agreement is regulated according to the laws of the province of
Quebec. The User therefore accepts to be held liable in case of any issue
regarding the interpretation, enforcement and execution of the present
Agreement’s or the Site’s conditions, and will have to be judged by the
competent tribunals of the province of Quebec.
